Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Bobby Watson, age 84, of Jefferson, who passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Mr. Watson was born on October 31, 1932 in Jackson County, a son to the late June and Mamie Sheilds Watson. Mr. Watson was a Refrigeration Air Condition Ammonia HVAC for Pilgrim Pride for 47 years. Mr. Watson also worked for Harrison Poultry for 7 years. Mr. Watson is a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Jefferson, Georgia. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie J. Watson, three brothers, Willie J. Watson, Crawford Watson, Robert Watson, a step-son, Douglas Chandler and a grandson Orlando Chandler.

Survivors include children, Deborah A. (Willie) Daniels of Gainesville, GA, Randy (Shirley) Watson of Jefferson, Pamela (Reginald) Harris of Colbert, GA, Danny (Joyce) Watson of Jefferson, Nancy Lester of Jefferson, Rogers (Jeanette) Chandler of Jefferson, Mattie Lois Walker of Jefferson and Janice Shields of Jefferson; two brothers Billy Watson and Charlie Watson, 19 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Grandchildren also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the New Salem Baptist Church in Jefferson, GA, with Rev. Ronald Watson, Pastor Jeffery Chandler and Pastor Hazell Quarles officiating with interment to follow in the Evans Memory Gardens. Following the burial, the Repass will be  back at the New Salem Baptist Church in Jefferson, Georgia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, November 29, 2016 beginning at 10:00am , in the New Salem Baptist Church.
