Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Ms. Carolyn B. Standridge, age 65 of Commerce, Georgia who entered into rest Monday, August 7, 2017.  Ms. Standridge was born in Commerce, Georgia the daughter of the late L.C. and Viola Evans Standridge.  Ms. Standridge was a homemaker and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she often played the piano and organ.  In addition to her parents Ms. Standridge is preceded by her husbands, Fred Pointer and Jimmy Whitlock.

Survivors include two daughters, Karee Whitlock Bullock and her husband Bryan of Hoschton, and Kathy Whitlock of Jefferson.  Brother, Gerald Standridge and his wife Charlotte of Jefferson.  Three grandchildren, Bryson, Carmen and Anthony Bullock.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017 from the New Harmony Baptist Church, Nicholson, Georgia with Reverend Andy Edwards officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia.  The body will lie in state in the Church 1:30 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
