Stan is a life long resident of Jefferson and began his career in the funeral industry while in high school working for his mentor, Mr. Horace Jackson at Jackson Funeral Home. All that Stan learned as a young man alongside Mr. Jackson, is still practiced today in the daily operation of Evans Funeral Home. Stan, his wife Cathy, son, Carter and daughter Kelsey live in the Dry Pond Community outside of Jefferson and he is a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Watching his son Carter, play baseball and paddle-boarding is a favorite time for their family. Stan was elected Jackson County Coroner in 1980 and elected Jackson County Sheriff in 1985 serving 28 years until his retirement in 2012. Service to others has always been a part of his life, both in politics and in the daily operation of Evans Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
Loyd and Carolyn Evans
Carolyn and Loyd Evans are lifelong residents of Jefferson and live in the Brockton Community. Carolyn retired from First Commerce Bank and Loyd retired from Alcon Associates General Contractors after a long career in the Construction Business. In 1997, they along with their son Stan began operation of Evans Funeral Home and Memory Gardens. Carolyn enjoys seeing her former bank customers and friends while assisting at the Funeral Home and Loyd enjoys overseeing the Cemetery operations and visiting with friends.

Mitch is from Lawrenceville, Georgia where he attended and graduated from Central Gwinnett High School. He is a 1982 graduate from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and has held a Funeral Director and Embalmer License for over 30 years. Mitch started his career while working in high school for Tom M. Wages in Lawrenceville and subsequently worked at Tapp Funeral Home in Buford and H.M.Patterson and Son in Atlanta. Mitch began working at Evans Funeral Home in Jefferson in 1999 and resides in Jefferson with his wife, Donna. He has two and sons, Shawn (Courtney) and Cameron (Savannah) and four grandchildren. Outside of work, Mitch enjoys spending time with his family, playing his guitar and Banjo, remodeling homes and attends Jefferson First United Methodist Church.
Part-time Funeral Assistant
Billy was raised in Hall County, Georgia. He is a long-time southern Gospel singer, performing with the Sunny South Boys and the Homeland Boys. Billy resides in Jefferson with his wife, Jetta.
Brian was raised in Hall County, Georgia. He is a graduate of North Hall High School, and a member of the Bethel Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dahlonega. He resides in Gainesville, with his wife, Tracy, and his daughters, Abigail, Ansley and AvaGrace. Brian loves watching his girls play Volleyball and Softball.
Wanda grew up in Atlanta and lived there many years. She met and married her husband, Harry, and they moved to Panama City, Florida and lived there for twenty years, where she sold real estate. They came back to Georgia and now happily reside in Jefferson. They attend Galilee Christian Church. Wanda enjoys meeting people and assisting them with their needs.

Allen is a 1992 Graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and has 25 years experience in the funeral industry. Allen and his wife Sandi live in Maysville with their two daughters Emily and Hannah. Allen enjoys being of help to families and meeting the needs of those families he serves.
