Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Billy Joe Elem, age 62 of Commerce, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, December 21, 2019. Mr. Elem was born in Georgia, a son of the late William H. and Marie Hardman Elem.
Survivors include a son David Romine of Athens, sisters, Brenda Standridge and her husband, Jeff of Jefferson, and Angelia Wilson of Jefferson. Brother, Danny Elem of Nicholson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
