Mr. Troy Carlis Martin

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Troy Carlis Martin, age 87 of Villa Rica, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, March 30, 2019.  Mr. Martin was born in Piedmont, Alabama, the son of the late J.T. and Fannie Mae Murry Martin and was a retired School Teacher with Dekalb County Schools, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin is preceded by his first wife, and the mother of his children, Audrey Thomas Martin.  

Survivors include his wife, Sherron Mims Martin of Villa Rica.  Children; Charlotte and Chris Beaty of Flowery Branch, Sharon Martin of Charleston, South Carolina, Carlis and Tammy Martin of Marietta.  Sisters; Nan Hall, and Rachel Cheatwood of Anniston, Alabama, and Carolyn Fordham of Blue Mountain, Alabama.  Ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two - step grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 1, 2019 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Barden officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, 11:00 – 2:00 P.M.
