Mr. Vernon Hollis "Buck" Stewart Jr.

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Vernon Hollis “Buck” Stewart, Jr., age 58 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, December 29, 2018.  Mr. Stewart was born in Newberry, South Carolina, the son of the late Vernon Hollis Stewart, Sr. and Merdith Ann Wilson Stewart of Braselton.  Mr. Stewart was a Supervisor with Simpson Trucking and Grading and loved to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Survivors in addition to his mother is his wife, Denise Butler Stewart of Jefferson, Children, Felicia Stewart and fiancé Stacy Barbee of Dacula, Kevin Stewart and his wife Christin, of Hoschton, and Christi Stinchcomb and her husband Chip of Flowery Branch.  Step Children, Steven and Melissa Gee of Gainesville, Justin and Tasha Gee of Cleveland and Haley and Ricky Price of Hoschton.  Brothers, Harold Stewart and his wife Elisa Stewart of Flowery Branch and Dale Stewart and his wife Marie of Gainesville; father-in-law, Kenneth Butler, Gainesville, Georgia; brother and sister in laws, Darlene and Larry Villyard of Cleveland, Mike Butler of Cleveland, Mechelle and Josh Letson of Banks County, Derek and Jennifer Hulsey of Cleveland, Scott and Crystal Hulsey of Lula; Sixteen grandchildren, Tyler, Ashlynn, Nathan, Logan, Dakota, Jake, Noah, Makenee, Sean, Caleb, Mason, Ty, Peyton, Adam, Paisley, and Porter, also survive along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2019 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Stewart and Reverend Phil Carpenter officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
