Mrs. Annie Ruth (Jackson) Stancil

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Ruth Jackson Stancil, age 94 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday, March 23, 2019. Mrs. Stancil was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late Jesse and Anna Blalock Jackson, was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and was retired from Solar Tech.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Stancil is preceded in death by her husband Emory Stancil, a daughter, Linda Rossi and nine brothers and sisters.  She was the last living member of her immediate family.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Weaver and her husband Tommy of Winterville.  Three sons, Dennis Stancil and his wife Mary of Maysville, Johnny Stancil and his wife Cindy of Athens (Redstone), and Herman Stancil and his wife Janet of Jefferson. Son in  law, Tom Rossi of Jefferson.  Five grandchildren; Melinda Christian, Kelly Howington, Jonathon Stancil, Melissa Carlan and Frankie Thornton.  Nine great - grandchildren and one great- great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2019 in the Bethany United Methodist Church with Charlie Howington and Pastor Ross Wheeler officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Brian Jackson, Marvin Poe, Ray Poe, Jonathon Stancil, Chris Shirley, and Donald Jones.  Kenny Poe will be honored as an honorary pallbearer.  The family will receive friends, 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church Youth Group, 4659 Brockton Road, Jefferson, Georgia  30549.
