Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Sharon Ann Tanner May, age 66 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Friday, January 3, 2020. Mrs. May was born in Atlanta, Georgia a daughter of the late John Chapman Tanner and Maudie Lena Osborne Tanner of Martin. Mrs. May was a homemaker and beloved mother of two daughters and two sons.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include daughter April Garrison and her husband Gary of Maysville, Nikki Geyer and her husband Jeremy of Commerce, son, Adam May and his wife Ximena of Jefferson, son Michael May and his wife Patti of Wilmington, N.C.. Sister, Gloria Starrett and her husband Billy of Martin, brother, Larry Tanner and his wife Mary of Loganville, sister, Becky Clark and her husband Mike of Jacksonville, Florida, brother Ricky Tanner and his wife Linda of Hull and brother, Steve Tanner and his wife Faye of Martin. Ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
A celebration of Mrs. May’s life will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 5, 2020 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home where the family will also receive friends.
