Phyllis Elaine (Thomason) Fortner

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Phyllis Elaine Thomason Fortner, age 63, of Royston, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Mrs. Fortner was born in Young Harris , Georgia, a daughter to the late L.C. Thomason and the late Mabel Marie Sosebee Thomason. Mrs. Fortner was a Homemaker and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Lee Fortner, step-father, Richard Aikens and step-brother, Johnny Aikens. 

Survivors include her son, Troy Lynn Fortner of Nicholson, daughter, Tanya Lynn Fortner of Cleveland, brothers, Dennis Thomason of Maysville, Ronnie Thomason of Cleveland, Danny Thomason of Bogart and Stevie Thomason of Gainesville, nine Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Brother William Blackie officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 12 noon until 2:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
