Jonah Ortiz Obituary

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Jonah Kai Ortiz, age 14, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Jonah was born in Gainesville, Georgia, and was a student at Jefferson Middle School in Jefferson, Georgia. Jonah was a caring and gifted young man, who loved, and was loved by many.  One of his various gifts was his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He was exceptionally interested in robotics.  He was planning and preparing to build a battlebot. He also had a love for fashion and earned the superlative "Best Dressed" of his 8th grade class.

 

Survivors include his mom and dad, Jade and Lee Boyd of Jefferson; Jay Daniel, brothers, Elias Boyd and Jacob Daniel; sisters, Meghan and husband Rashad Williams and Erin Boyd; grandmother, Vivian Ortiz of Jefferson, grandparents, Dr. Wesley Daniel and his wife Mary Helen of Gainesville, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.  Jonah will be deeply missed by all who loved and cared for him.

A private Memorial Service for Jonah will be held on a later date by his family.
