Mr. Charles Edward Pickett

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Charles Edward Pickett, age 85, of Acworth, Georgia who entered rest Saturday May 6, 2023. Mr. Pickett was born in Dallas, Georgia the son of the late James Malachi Pickett and the late Annie Lou Bell Pickett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Pickett.

Mr. Pickett worked as an Auditor with Liberty Mutual Insuance Company, a 1955 graduate of Dallas High School, a member of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church, Acworth, Georgia and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his two daughters, Karin Bell (Greg) of Jefferson, GA and Jane Pickett of Athens, GA. Two grandchildren, Ethan Bell (Isis) of Cooper City, FL and Ivy Bell of Braselton, GA. Two great grandchildren, Charlie Bell and Georgia Bell. Sister, Joyce Howard (David) of Marietta, GA. Brother, Mike Pickett (Sheilah) of Dallas, GA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday May 10, 2023 at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel, 123 Watson Drive, Dallas, GA 30132 with Pastor Nicholas Pepper officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 P.M. until time of service at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home, Dallas, GA.
