Mr. Cornelius "Corey" Potra

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Cornelius “Corey” Potra, age 26, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away Friday, January 16, 2026. Mr. Potra was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a son to Mr. and Mrs. John and Olivia Potra of Jefferson, Georgia. 

Survivors include his parents, John and Olivia Potra of Jefferson; brother, Darius Potra of Jefferson; sisters, Olivia Noelle (Otnielor) Potra of Auburn; Lorien (Illia) Havryleskv of Jefferson; grandmothers, Joan Sabina Potra of Vancouver, WA and Anna Spang of Saline, MI, also survives.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 12:00 PM in the Philadelphia Romanian Church, 581 Old Pendergrass Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043, with Pastor Ilie Recalo officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the Philadelphia Romanian Church, prior to the service.

The burial will follow at 3:30 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Evans Memory Gardens, 1350 Winder Highway, Jefferson, GA 30549.
