Mr. David Dewitt Gooch

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. David Dewitt Gooch, age 70 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Thursday, October 11, 2018. Mr. Gooch was born in Athens, Georgia a son of the late Dover and Lanelle Howard Gooch, was a member of White Plains Baptist Church and a retired Truck Driver and Homebuilder.  Mr. Gooch was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Purple Heart and was a member of LZ Friendly, Madison County Chapter.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha McDaniel Gooch of Jefferson.  Daughter, Kellee Gooch of Nashville, TN. Son, Chuck Gooch and his wife Maureen of Bethlehem. Brother, Carl Gooch and his wife Pam of Milledgeville, niece Elizabeth Gooch of Milledgeville and a aunt, Dot Craven of Jefferson.  Three grandchildren, Hogan, Audrey and Matthew also survive.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2018.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.
