Mr. Gregory Wayne Broussard

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Gregory Wayne Broussard, age 71, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday June 30, 2026. Mr. Broussard was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana the son of the late Roy Joseph Broussard and the late Liller Leeova Tubbs Broussard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Ann Ellison Broussard.

Mr. Broussard retired from Jackson EMC as Director of Engineering Services. Greg traveled a lot competing in cowboy gun show competitions, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Greg was a member of First Baptist Church Jefferson.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Neil Broussard (Maryjane) of Watkinsville, GA and Scott Allen Broussard (Brandy) of Lawrenceville, GA. Four grandchildren, Elijah and Issac Broussard of Lawrenceville, GA and Logan and Gavin Broussard of Watkinsville, GA. Sister, Melanie Broussard of Houston, TX. Two brothers, Paul Broussard (Martha) of Houston TX and Malcolm Broussard of Baton Rouge, LA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday July 11, 2026 from First Baptist Church Jefferson with Reverend Matt Long and Dr. Mark Hearn officiating with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Greg will lie-in-state from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. 

Honored as pallbearers will be Elijah Broussard, Isaac Broussard, Logan Broussard, Gavin Broussard, Robert Broussard and Scott Broussard. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
