Mr. Gregory Steven Rooks

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Gregory Steven Rooks, age 57 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, July 18, 2025.  Mr. Rooks was born in Gainesville, Georgia a son of the late Belvie Dean Pass Rooks and Larry Rooks, Jr. of Jefferson.  In addition to his mother, Greg is preceded by his grandparents; Hubert and Pearl Pass, and Larry and Frances Rooks.

Survivors in addition to his father are a son, Chase Rooks (Cody) of Jefferson.  Daughter, Bridgett Brock of Jefferson.  Fiance Stacy Williamson of Jefferson.  Grandchildren; Taylor and Avery Brock.  Sisters, Cindy Coley (Michael) and Donna McMullan (Mark).  Brother, Scott Rooks (Brooke) along with several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Greg worked as a Land Surveyor for many years and was currently employed with Rowan Communications.  He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed working on tractors, and trucks, etc.  In his spare time he loved growing gardens.  Greg loved big and always was there to help the minute he got the call.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 20, 2025 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Shane Crowe officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Jeff Jones, Edwin Cash, Wesley Cash, Anthony Wiley, Brooks McEver, Nathan Joy, Randy Smith, Danny Smith, Michael Simmons, Casey Autry, Chase Waller, Pat Samaniego, Brandon Crumley, Sawyer Cantrell and Chase Webb.  The family will receive friends 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
