Mr. Gregory Brian Strickland

With great sadness for our loss, but joy in knowing our brother Greg is in heaven now with our Lord and our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Greg passed away Friday morning, September 24, 2021 from a Pulmonary Embolism.  Greg was born on January 27, 1961 and even though his life ended relatively young, it was a blessed miracle he lived this long.  Greg suffered a traumatic brain injury in his early 40’s.  Greg was employed in the hotel industry in Atlanta and Orlando area for several decades and could have had a very promising future before tragedy stepped in and brought a new path forward.  For the past decade, Greg has worked for the Arena in Gwinnett County in a Customer Service capacity.  He had the spiritual gift of service.  Greg was preceded in death by his parents:  James N. and Margaret Strickland and his nephew Adam Cooper. Greg is survived by one brother:  Dana Strickland of Buford, and 3 sisters:  Louise Hudder (Kam) of Blue Ridge, GA; Susan Brause (Stan) of Foley, AL, and Karen Waller (Harrison) of Fernandina Beach, FL; Nieces & Nephews:  Kimberly LaScala, Travis Strickland, Jason Strickland, Jessica Waller, Jennifer Waller along with many other relatives.  

The family will be having a graveside service for all family members and friends on October 23, 2021 at 1:00pm, in the Floral Hills Memory Garden and Cemetery at Lawrenceville Road & I-285 in Decatur, GA . 

Following the service, a small reception will take place in the adjoining hall of the funeral home.
