Mr. James Terry Bond

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. James Terry Bond, age 77, of Athens, Georgia (South Jackson Community) who entered rest Wednesday January 3, 2024. Mr. Bond was born in Athens, Georgia the son of the late B.T. Thomas Bond and the late Alice Wynn Bond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Pearson Bond and two sisters, Martha Faye Bond and Rachel Bond Patton.

Mr. Bond retired as a supervisor with Dairy Pak. After retirement he drove a cab in the Athens area, loved the Georgia Bulldawgs and the Braves but most of all helping raise his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his brother, Dennis Bond (Mary) of Athens, GA. Three nephews, Brian Patton and Greg Patton both of Athens, Shane Pearson of Athens GA. Two Nieces, Jessie Pearson of Athens, GA. and Lisa Rose of Flordia.  

In accordance with Mr. Bond’s wishes, he will be cremated and a interment will be at a later date.
