Obituary
Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. James Robert Maxwell, age 74 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, April 27, 2023. Mr. Maxwell was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Bill and Joanne Freeman Maxwell and was a retired Mechanic with Dekalb County Parks and Recreation.
Survivors include his wife Alice Marie Pitts Maxwell of Jefferson. Two sons, Philip Maxwell (Susan) of Helen and Michael Maxwell Rocksprings. Sister, Sharon Maxwell, brother Ricky Maxwell. Two grandchildren, Kati and Philip Maxwell of Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2023 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Corey Sexton officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
