Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. James Milton Snyder, age 87 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, November 7, 2025. Mr. Snyder was born in Toledo, Ohio a son of the late James and Thelma Clark Snyder and is also preceded by a daughter, Kerry Lisa Snyder and a sister, Joyce Poupard. Mr. Snyder was a Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam War, was of the Catholic Faith, loved to cook and was a big football and Miami Dolphins fan. Mr. Snyder worked for the Miami Dade School System and was a retired Mechanic with Hill York Air.
Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Viola Mary Surette Snyder of Jefferson. Grandson, Kevin James Bradley of Jefferson and a brother, David Snyder of Toledo, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 10, 2025 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with burial to follow with Military Honors in Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service on Monday at Evans Funeral Home.
