Mr. James Ernest Waters

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. James Ernest Waters, age 55, of Pendergrass, Georgia, who passed away at home on Monday, October 28, 2024, after an extended illness. Mr. Waters was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a son to the late James C. and Barbara Brooks Waters. Mr. Waters was known by friends and loved ones as a kind man, always willing to help.  A jack of all trades, he was a talented artist and musician, and spent many years restoring vintage automobiles and motorcycles.  

Survivors include his sisters, Donna Waters of Pendergrass, GA, Barbara Jean Waters Cronic (Barry) of Canon, GA; stepson, Jeffery Wood and his wife Abbey of Athens, GA, Aunts Peggy Brooks Sosebee (W.T.), and Martha Brooks Floyd. Three beloved nephews, one niece, and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 

In accordance with Mr. Water’s wishes, his remains were cremated, and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Nov 3 at 1:00 at The Barn at Price Mountain.  604 Price Mountain Rd, Pendergrass, GA 30567.  All friends and family are invited to come and share their fondest memories of James.
