Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Jimmy Hal Benton, age 82 of Commerce, Georgia (Dry Pond Community) who entered into rest Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Mr. Benton was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late Harold M. and Leora Cruce Benton, was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. In addition to his parents, Mr. Benton is preceded by a brother Roger Benton and his wife Jessie Garrison Benton.

Survivors include two daughters, Joni Patrick and her husband Joe of Jefferson, Carol Pound of Jefferson. Brother, Larry Benton of Jefferson, sister, Beverly Green of Alpharetta. Special Friend Pauline Hancock of Jefferson.

Private services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Brookside Assisted Living, 199 West W. Gary Road, Commerce, Georgia 30529.
