Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Joseph Sinclair Kenworthy, age 74, of Bethlehem, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Mr. Kenworthy was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, a son to the late Kennard and Joyce Craig Kenworthy. Mr. Kenworthy worked for the Hydreco Corporation in Galesburg, Michigan as a Buyer for seventeen years, and them another sixteen as a Buyer for the Wika Instrument Corporation, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, before retiring in 2011. Joe was an accomplished web master and devoted much of his time as a media specialist for the Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson, GA, where he was a member. He also worked as the Forwarding Agent for Bethshean Mexico Mission, a Christian Mission in Central Mexico since 2009. Joe loved to stay busy and spent many long hours working on his and Susan’s family trees. His research as a family historian covered more than 15,000 known ancestors that included Presidents, Governors and Mayflower settlers. Mr. Kenworthy was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Viet Nam era.
Survivors include his wife Susan Kenworthy of Bethlehem, daughter, Jodi Snow of Forth Worth, TX, son, Sean Kenworthy of Marietta; grandchildren, Aaron Snow, Andrew Snow, Adam Kenworthy and Emily Kenworthy also survive.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Kenworthy will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the Galilee Christian Church with Minister Nick Vipperman officiating.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Galilee Christian Church, prior to the service.
