Mr. Larry John Townsend

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Larry John Townsend, age 74 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, March 20, 2026.  Mr. Townsend was born in Hazen, Arkansas a son of the late Jeff and Vera Rose Finch Townsend.  Mr. Townsend was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a retired Courier in the Medical Field.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Townsend is preceded by a son, Scott Townsend.

Survivors include Mr.  Townsend’s wife, Judy Maddock Townsend of Jefferson and a son, Bryan Townsend of Maysville.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Townsend, his remains are to be cremated and returned to the family for private Memorial Services.
