Mr. Leon Holmes

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Leon Holmes, age 87, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. Mr. Holmes was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a son to the late Linton Oliver Holmes and the late Winnie Lou Tucker. Mr. Holmes was retired from sales, where he worked for Transerve in Gainesville, Georgia. 

Survivors include his wife Reba Ricks Holmes of Jefferson; son, Eric Holmes of Flowery Branch, step-son, Jamie Westbrooks, of Banks County, GA; grandson, Darren Eric Holmes and his wife Tiffany of Murryville, GA, granddaughters, Kaylee Holmes of Flowery Branch and Catherine Westbrooks of Banks County, GA;  grandson, Matt Williams of Flowery Branch, GA; great grandchildren, Brantley Holmes, Cason Holmes and Abby Holmes also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson, Georgia.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 1:00 Pm until 2:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.

Flowers are optional, and memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Leon Holmes.
