Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Michael Clinton Hensley, age 72 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, October 5, 2025. Mr. Hensley was born in Commerce, Georgia a son of the late Amos and Dorothy “Dot” Dodd Hensley. Mr. Hensley loved to play the piano, loved the Georgia Bulldogs and was the owner of Dot’s Florist in Jefferson. Mr. Hensley was formerly a successful automobile salesman and sales manager with Billy Cain Ford and James Short Ford. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hensley is preceded by a son, Joseph Clinton Hensley.
Survivors include his wife Eula Jennifer Franklin Hensley of Jefferson. Daughter, Holly Purcell (Jim) of Athens, son, Jason Hensley (Sallie) of Homer. Nine grandchildren and a brother, Steve Hensley of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Hensley, his remains are to be cremated and a service is to be held later.
