Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Oliver Franklin Isaacs, Sr. age 94 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, February 27, 2025. Mr. Isaacs was born in Chester, South Carolina, a son of the late Edward Gibson Isaacs and the late Nell McEachern Isaacs. Mr. Isaacs was a grauate of Clemson University, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was retired President of Dixie Construction Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Isaacs is preceded by a son, Michael Lee Isaacs, brother, David Lee Isaacs, and a sister, Jean Isaacs McCorey.
Mr. Isaacs was a avid outdoorsman. He had a life long passion for hunting and fishing. He often enjoyed hunting trips to Canada and fishing trips to Alaska with friends and family. When not hunting or fishing, he could be found riding his Harley Davidson well into his 70’s.
Survivors include a son, Frank Isaacs (Laura) of Jefferson, daughter, Amy Pounds (Gus) of Suwanee. Five grandchildren, Ethan Isaacs (Jess), Ellie Isaacs, Seth Isaacs, Austin Crawford (Tori), and Chase Crawford. Three great grandchildren, Sawyer Isaacs, Asher Crawford and Adeline Crawford also survive.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
