Mr. Robert Joseph Ramos

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Robert Joseph Ramos, age 77, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, November 13, 2025. Mr. Ramos was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Joseph Vito Ramos and the late Dorothy Zielinski Ramos. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a niece, Christi Jo Patton.

Mr. Ramos worked as an accountant with Fresenius, a pharmaceutical company. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, he began listening to their games on a transistor radio as a child. After retirement, he spent much of his time studying and day trading. He loved horse racing, often visiting Keeneland, and enjoyed opera, with Renata Tebaldi as his favorite singer. He watched cooking shows featuring Julia Child and Chef Jean-Pierre, and relaxed in the evenings by sitting fireside with a cigar and glass of wine.

Survivors include his significant other, Renee Perks of Jefferson, GA; two sisters, Carole Hays (Larry) of Chicago, IL and Christine Patton (Richard) of Fenton, MO; four grandchildren, Lucas Seidel, Vincent Seidel, Logan Perks and Rylee Perks; nieces and nephews, Sarah Seidel (Joe), Ryan Perks (Lindsay), Nathaniel Hays (Jinrae), Daniel Hays and Allyn Rouw (Daniel); great nieces and nephew, Hannah Rouw, Margot Rouw and Sebastian Hays.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 21, 2025 at Evans Memory Gardens with Reverend Matt Long officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at the graveside.
