Mr. Robert Michael Richards

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Robert Michael Richards, age 65 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Saturday, November 23, 2024.  Mr. Richards was born in Hileah, Florida the son of the late John Robert Richards and the late Martha Elizabeth Little.  Mr. Richards attended The Jefferson Church, was a member of the Athens Chapter Mens Barbershop Organization, spent twelve years as Worship Minister at Unity Christian Church and treasured his time as a  Trainer with State Farm.  Mike was a loving husband, father, son-in-law, uncle, leader, devoted Dawg fan, and friend.  His most cherished role was “Poppy” to his grandson, Greyson.

Survivors include his wife Deanna Minish Richards of Jefferson.  Daughter, Rachel Garrelts (Matthew) of Peachtree City.  Son, Jared Richards of Jefferson.  Grandson, Greyson Richards of Jefferson.  Two sisters, Sherry Woodhouse of Florida and Janet Crow of Kentucky.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

His Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 3:30 P.M. at The Jefferson Church with David Jarrett officiating.  The family will receive friends before the service at 2:00 P.M.
