Mr. Steven Donald Walker

Mr. Steven “Steve” Donald Walker (59) of Jefferson, Georgia entered into rest on January 27, 2023. 

Steve was born December 20, 1963, in Lawrenceville, Georgia to Larry and Runelle Walker. 

A simple man, he lived a quiet life of integrity, wit, and selflessness. Alongside his wife, Robin, of 38 years, Steve raised his two children in Jefferson and loved them well. Later, he became “Pa” to his two grandchildren whom he treasured. He valued hard work and dedicated 30 years to the Grayson and Friendship quarries at Vulcan Materials. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Walker. 

Steve is survived by his wife, Robin Walker of Jefferson, GA; daughter­ Erinn (Rick) Giblin of Jefferson, GA; son Caleb Walker (Fiancé’ Rachel Shaw) of Charlotte, NC, and two grandchildren, Annistyn Rebecca and Brantley Steven Giblin of Jefferson, GA. He is also survived by his mother, Runelle Walker of Ellijay, GA; sister, Debra (Leonard) Bailey of Acworth, GA, and nephew, Ryan Bailey of Acworth, GA. Steve leaves behind his mother-in-law, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Pa wished to support Anni and Brantley with their future dreams and endeavors. Donations can be made in his honor to Robin Walker 340 Williamson Street, Jefferson, Georgia 30549.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Evans Memory Gardens officiated by Pastor Lindell Hunsley. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
