Mr. Swain Bruce

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Swain Bruce, age 90 of Eatonton, Georgia formerly of Pendergrass who entered rest Saturday, December 2, 2023.  Mr. Bruce was born in Pendergrass, Georgia a son of the late Homer Lewis Bruce and the late Mary Lou Love Bruce.  Mr. Bruce retired from Seaboard Farms where he worked as a Truck Driver.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bruce is preceded by a wife Kathleen Bruce and a son, Terry Bruce.

Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Skelton of Nicholson, daughter in law, Julie Bruce of Hoschton.  Grandchildren, Steven Bruce of Hoschton, Amanda Truluck of Commerce, Trent Skelton of Maysville, Andrew Bingham of Maysville, and Ona Bingham of Maysville.  Brother, Horace Bruce of Pendergrass, sister Betty Samples of Pendergrass and six great grandchildren also survive. 

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. Monday, December 4, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Winfred Bingham conducting a prayer during the visitation period.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lighthouse CH Church, 5916 Maysville Road, Maysville, Georgia 30558.
