Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Tony Scott Mariotti, age 48, of Hoschton, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Mr. Mariotti was born in Naperville, Illinois, a son to the late Mario Mariotti and Mrs. Brenda Baker Mariotti of Winder. Mr. Mariotti was a facilities engineer with Northeast Georgia Medical Center and attended the Athens Church.
Tony never met a stranger. His warmth, humor, and kindness drew people to him wherever he went. He was a loyal friend to many and loved his family deeply. Nothing made him prouder than his boys, and he never missed a chance to celebrate their accomplishments in school, karate, baseball, football, and everything else they pursued.
Tony enjoyed staying busy and took pride in everything he did — whether working in his yard and garden, fixing cars, grilling for his family, caring for the pool, or enjoying a game of bowling. He had a talent for fixing just about anything. One of his favorite traditions was creating an over-the-top Christmas display each year, complete with countless lights and inflatable decorations that seemed to get bigger every year.
He will be remembered as the lovable guy who always had a smile, a hug, a favorite movie quote ready to share, and a ChapStick in his pocket. His lighthearted spirit, big heart, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Alissa DiDonato Mariotti of Hoschton; his sons, KJ Mariotti and Vinny Mariotti, both of Hoschton; his mother, Brenda Baker Mariotti of Winder; his sister, Gina Hockaday and her husband, Billy, of Social Circle; his brothers, Joe Mariotti of Winder and Tommy Mariotti and his wife, Danielle, of Jefferson; his nephews, Ace Mariotti, Jax Mariotti, and Blake Hockaday; Blake’s wife, Addie; and their children, Willie and Walter.
A visitation, celebrating the life of Tony Mariotti, will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home.
