Mr. Wayne Martin

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Wayne Martin, age 66 of Statham, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, August 22, 2024.  Mr. Martin was born in Athens, Georgia the son of the late Raymond Verner Martin and the late Margaret Ann Cain Martin.  Mr. Martin was a graduate of Jefferson High School, loved feeding animals, fishing, hunting and gardening.  Mr. Martin was retired from the City of Winder and also worked for the Jackson County School System for nine years.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Beth Haygood Martin of Statham.  Two sons, Joshua Cain Martin of Statham and Billy Paul Martin of Lawrenceville.  Two aunts, Peggy Jones of Statham and Joyce Martin of Milton, Virginia.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 26, 2024 at Evans Memory Gardens with Mr. Jeff Hendrix officiating.  The family will receive friends at the graveside.
