Mr. Wendell Tim Buice

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Wendell Tim Buice, age 66, of Athens, Georgia who entered rest Thursday March 6, 2025. Mr. Buice was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia the son of the late Bill Buice and the late Sara Still Buice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Buice and two brothers, Kennie and Randy Buice.

Mr. Buice worked as a mechanical engineer, loved to run, running in many marathons in his lifetime and just being outdoors working in the yard. Mr. Buice loved to travel the world and loved the ocean and spending time at the beach along with nature, birdwatching, building things with wood and always talked about building his own house by hand.  He enjoyed grilling out, talking politics, horses (Cruiser), cats (skinny and fluffy) , watching movies and documentaries.

Survivors include two daughters, Kelly M. Buice of Jonesboro, TN and Kristen Carroll (Frankie) of Cornersville, TN. Son, Eric Buice of California. Four brothers, Larry Buice (Denita) of Jefferson, GA, Jack Buice (Elaine) of Commerce, GA, Mac Buice of Athens, GA and Scott Buice (Lisa) of Hull, GA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Buice will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
