Mrs. Alma Annette (Parks) Aiken

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Alma Annette Aiken, age 88, of Athens, Georgia formerly of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday April 30, 2024. Mrs. Aiken was born in Commerce, Georgia the daughter of the late Henry Osborn Parks and the late Lucille Sears Parks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tim Aiken, sisters, Clara Hemphill, Ruby Sweeney, Frances Roberts, Betty Davis and brothers, Garnett, H.O., Willie and John Parks.

Mrs. Aiken worked as a Administrative Assistant with Jackson County EMS for 16 years. In her retirement, she worked as a Bailiff at the Jackson County Courthouse. Mrs. Aiken was a member of Dry Pond United Methodist Church, Jefferson, Georgia.

Survivors include her son, Wayne Aiken (Mary Carol) of Annandale, VA. Daughter-in-law, Rita Aiken of Dallas, GA. Three grandchildren, Sarah Russel (Robbie) of Falls Church, VA, Kelly Aiken of Annandale, VA and Laney Howell (Dylan) of Dallas, GA. Three great grandchildren, Bobby Russel, Scarlett Howell and Maddox Howell.

Funeral services will beheld 1:00 P.M. Friday May 10, 2024 at Dry Pond United Methodist Church with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday May 10 from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon at Evans Funeral Home. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Larry Davis, Ricky Hemphill, Dylan Howell, Steve Lanier, Walt Parks and Robbie Russel.
