Anita also shared her heart with her beloved dog-daughter, Biscuit, who brought her immense joy, companionship, and comfort.
Known for her warmth, compassion, and quiet strength, she was lovingly called “Nana” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Prior to her brief time in Jefferson, Georgia, Anita called Georgetown, Delaware, and Maryland home. A 1966 graduate of Northwood High School, she was a dedicated medical professional who spent many years caring for children in the pediatric unit at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital before continuing her work in professional development, where she supported, trained, and inspired countless colleagues.
Anita had a lifelong love of music, delighting in singing and playing the ukulele. She was a dedicated Girl Scout leader, loved riding motorcycles with her late husband, cheering for the Washington Redskins, and enjoyed movies, television, and crocheting.
