Mrs. Ann (Ramsey) Gilstrap

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Sherra Ann Ramsey Gilstrap, age 79 of Murrayville (Formerly of Jefferson, Georgia) who entered rest Friday, December 8, 2023.  Mrs. Gilstrap was born in Commerce, Georgia the daughter of the late O.B. and Corean Tanner Ramsey.  Mrs. Gilstrap retired from Wayne Farms after a successful career of forty five years as an Accounting Clerk.  She was known for her helpfulness to Poultry Farmers throughout North Georgia and her sweet disposition.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gilstrap is preceded by a sister, Joni Ramsey Wilkes.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Frank Hunter Gilstrap of Murrayville.  Three daughters, Michelle Gibbs (David) of Clermont, Kelly Gilstrap of Atlanta, Holly Gilstrap of Murrayville.  Two brothers, Randall Ramsey (Martha) of Maysville, and Robin Ramsey (Mary) of Commerce.  Grandchildren, Tiffany, Hunter, Zack, Gabi, Franki, Annabella, and Skylar Lee.  Six great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Mr. Randall Ramsey officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are David Gibbs, Zack Gibbs, Justin Seymour, Ben Ramsey, Will Ramsey, Jeremy Ramsey and Nick Nieves.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, and again 12:00- 2:00 prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
