Mrs. Anna J. (Bolton) Marlowe

Anna J. Marlowe, age 80, of Jefferson, Georgia peacefully entered the gates of heaven September 8, 2023 at home with her beloved husband and family at her side. 

Anna was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, the second daughter to the late Sylvester H. Bolton and the late Pearl L. Bolton. Anna was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Johnson Business College of Athens, Georgia, and studied Computer Technology at The University of Georgia. In Anna's early career she worked with Jackie Wilkes Law Office. Her position with the law office led her to excel in the legal field. Anna retired from the University of Georgia where she served passionately with excellence and integrity in her role with the Administration of International Affairs. 

Anna played trumpet in her high school band and always loved the music of jazz and appreciated the talents of all musicians. Her love of strawberry milkshakes was known to all and the adventures of a good deal while shopping was a tale to be told. 

Anna never left behind the teachings of Christ. She was a principled woman always serving others with love and compassion. 

She left cherished and precious memories to her husband of 62 years, Eddie Marlowe of Jefferson, Georgia. Son, Steven Marlowe (Lisa Marlowe), daughter, Stephanie Marlowe, beloved grandchildren Jessica Marlowe, Jonathon Marlowe (Katie Marlowe), and great grandchildren Bennett and Everett Marlowe. Beloved siblings Jane B. Dozier, Thomas A. Bolton, and William D. Bolton (Donna Bolton), special nieces and nephews and additional family members. 

Anna's life will be celebrated with a private family ceremony. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Alzheimer's Foundation.
