Mrs. Barbara Ann (Allen) Goodner

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Barbara Ann Allen Goodner, age 87 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, June 4, 2026.  Mrs. Goodner was born in McDonough, Georgia a daughter of the late Henry Franklin Allen and the late Loya Boyd Allen.  Mrs. Goodner was a member of The Jefferson Church and was retired after a successful career in Banking with Regions Bank with twenty eight years of service.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goodner is preceded by her husband, Gary Goodner, a brother, Larry Allen and a daughter in law, Casey Goodner.

Survivors include sons, Tom Goodner of Commerce and Coedy McNeese of Starr, South Carolina. Sister, Linda Coleman, brother, Stanley Allen.  Grandchildren, Ashley McNeese, Tiffany Gary (Casey), Jonathan Goodner, Jennifer Eiffert (Josh), Justin Simmons (Melissa) and Dylan Simmons.  Twelve great grandchildren, nieces, Wendy, Stacey and Tracey, and caregiver Malorie Clinton, and all the staff at Oaks of Braselton.  Special friends, Brenda Tolbert and Amber Zimmerman also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 8, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Nick Dalton and Reverend Mark Mobley officiating with burial to follow in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.  Honored as pallbearers are Casey Gary, Justin Simmons, Belle Gary, Jonathan Goodner, Dylan Simmons and James Mayhew.  The family will receive friends 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at Evans Funeral Home on Monday, prior to the service.
