Mrs. Barbara Ann (Elrod) Middlebrooks

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Barbara Ann Elrod Middlebrooks, age 88 of Talmo, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, April 9, 2026.  Mrs. Middlebrooks was born in Talmo, Georgia a daughter of the late Joseph and Lois Gee Elrod.  Barbara attended Academy Baptist Church and was a retired Administrative Assistant with MarJac Poultry having fifty-three years of service.  Barbara deeply loved and cherished all of her family and the people she worked with for so long meant so much to her and were indeed very much like family themselves.  In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded by her husband Charles “Creek” Middlebrooks, a daughter, Charlene Faulkner, a sister, Betty Jo Parks and a brother, Hoke Elrod.

Survivors include a daughter Terri Middlebrooks of Jefferson.  Grandsons, Rod Beatty (Rachel) and Andrew Faulkner.  Granddaughter, Angel Lindsey (Shawn).  Son in Law, Lamar Faulkner.  Four great grandchildren, Charleston Beatty, Logan Pinion (Shelby), Hunter Beatty and Luke Lindsey.  Special nieces, nephews and other close family members who assisted Barbara later in her life also survive.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating.  The family will receive friends 11:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Barbara Ann Elrod Middlebrooks to Academy Baptist Church, P.O. Box 716, Jefferson, Georgia.
