Mrs. Beatrice Marie (Orum) Ryan

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Beatrice Marie Ryan, age 91, of Athens, Georgia who entered rest Thursday May 8, 2025. Mrs. Ryan was born in Wheeling , West Virginia the daughter of the late Thomas Martin Orum and the late Pearl Irene Clemens Orum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Shayne Ryan, two sisters, Loretta Orum and Gertrude Moore and one brother, Harvey Orum.

Mrs. Ryan worked as a Deputy Clerk of Commission with the Athens Clarke County Government. She was a member of Athens Christian Church, a professional Ball Room Dancer on Arthur Murray’s personal team and was a wonderful painter.

Survivors include son, Tom Ryan (Jean) of Athens, GA. Three grandchildren, Josh Ryan (Amanda) of Cochran, GA, Cassie Ryan of Athens, GA and Olivia Williams of Watkinsville, GA. One great grandchild, Riley Jackson of Watkinsville, GA.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday May 12, 2025 at Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia with Pastor Justin Thomas officiating.
