Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs.Betty Jean Cornwell Davis, age 89 of Hoschton, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Mrs. Davis was born in Atlanta, Georgia a daughter of the late Harold J. and Effie June Dowis Cornwell. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of the Jefferson Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis is preceded by her husband Charles Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Mell (David) of Lawrenceville, and Linda Lewallen of Flowery Branch. Six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren along with a sister, Helen Brumbalow of Alpharetta also survive.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2026 from Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Highway, NW, Sandy Springs, Georgia.
