Mrs. Betty Louise (Nicholas) McDonald

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Betty Louise Nicholas McDonald, age 83 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday, May 12, 2026.  Mrs. McDonald was born in Sacremento, California a daughter of the late Nick Gus Nicholas and the late Ruby Belle Hardigree Patterson.  Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and a member of Berean Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Georgia.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDonald is preceded by her husband Tommy Gene McDonald and a sister, Helen Scott.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Gene McDonald, Jr. of Flowery Branch.  Two daughters, Marsha McDonald Robinson (Scott C.) of Delano, Tennessee and Julia Diann Pontsler (Tim A.) of Jefferson.  Six grandchildren, Trevor McDonald, Kaira McDonald, Larissa McDonald, Taylor Robinson, Kaleb Robinson and Megan Pontsler.  Four great grandchildren, Bentley McDonald, Harper McDonald, Kolson Kade Smith, and Layla Norris. Two sisters, Pat Fishburne (Jeff), Shirley Longshore (Don) and three brothers, Sam, Nick and Bill Nicholas also survive. 

Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 16, 2026 from the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Pinson officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Graveside 11:30 – 12:00 prior to the service.
