Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Brenda Ann Hogan Cheek, age 74 of Hoschton, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Mrs. Cheek was born in Athens, Georgia a daughter of the late M.D. “Slim” Hogan and the late Doris Rouse Hogan. Mrs. Cheek was a member of the Hoschton Baptist Church and was retired from the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cheek is preceded by a brother, Marion Dean Hogan Sr..
Survivors include her husband of fifty two years, Paul “Buddy” Cheek of Hoschton. Daughter, Melanie “Mel” Cheek of Hoschton. Grandson, Colton Paul Kilburn of Hoschton. Sister Denise Stinchcomb of Winder along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 5, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
