Mrs. Carole Ann (Ford) Walker

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Carole Ann Walker, age 77, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday June 4, 2025. Mrs. Walker was born in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of the late Milton and Pauline Ford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Walker and a granddaughter, Samantha Ann Walker. 

On July 27, 1968 she married the love of her life, Donald L. Walker. They settled in Baltimore, Maryland and began the most amazing journey of love and living life to the fullest.  Carole was a loving mother and grandmother known affectionally as Nana to her grandchildren.

She was an very accomplished Register Nurse having worked in the ER, OR, Labor and Delivery and ultimately in Gastroenterology. She graduated from Union Memorial Nursing School in 1969 and retired during COVID in 2020, after serving for fifty-one years in the nursing field.  She loved family time, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to family, she loved to travel, crafting and enjoyed her place and vacations in Destin, Florida. She was an avid follower of the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves. Carole had a huge impact on her family, friends and community. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include daughter, Laurie Walker & Jim Ross of Jefferson, GA. Two sons, Brent Walker & Bri of Bethlehem, GA and Michael Patrick Walker of Lawrenceville, GA. Two grandchildren, Sydney Walker and Elias Vivas. Sister, Betty Kline of Baltimore, MD and a nephew, Ryan Kline of Baltimore, MD. 

A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Carole Ann Walker will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 12:30 PM in the Owner’s Clubhouse of Traditions with Ms. Rebecca Peterson Wessinger officiating. The family will receive friends in the clubhouse, following the service.
