Mrs. Cathy Sue (Boutwell) Ashley

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Cathy Sue Ashley, age 61, of Cumming, Georgia who entered rest Thursday May 30, 2024. Mrs. Ashley was born in Tampa, Florida the daughter of the late Clyde and Betty Hensley Boutwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Erica Lemus, sister, Barbara Nigreville and two brothers, Clyde and Charles Boutwell.

Mrs. Ashley worked as a sales coordinator with Universal Forest Products. She loved to go on cruises, was a hard working and focused person and a caregiver. Most of all she loved her family and grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband, Doug Ashley of Cumming, GA. Daughter, Lori Scoggins (husband, Josh) of Cumming, GA. Sister, Cindy Leger (husband, Glenn) of Rincon, GA. Four grandchildren, Clint Scoggins, Manny Scoggins, Tinsley Scoggins and Caitlyn Lemus. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 8, 2024 at Jackson Memorial Park 6825 Jefferson Road, Commerce, GA 30529 with Reverend Kevin Page officiating. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
