Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Charlotte Ann Morgan-Gonzalez, age 85 of Bishop, Georgia (Formerly of Maysville, Georgia) who entered rest Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Charlotte was born in Gainesville, Georgia a daughter of the late Young and Bessie Cagle Martin. Charlotte was a member of Unity Christian Church and had enjoyed a long accounting career with Ed Dunlap & Associates. In addition to her parents, Charlotte is preceded by a sister, Merla Sawyer, brother, Jerry Martin and husbands, Leward Grady Morgan and Salvador Gonzalez.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Morgan (Sandra) of Gainesville. Daughter, Shelia Garner of Statham. Sister, Lawanna Luther (Henry). Grandchildren; Craig Morgan, Jason Morgan, Corbert Kidd, Brittany Kidd, Cristal Kidd, Krista Lemley, and Kelli Adams. Great grandchildren; Alyssa Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Danielle Bridges, Ezekiel (Zeek) Lemley, Theodore Case, Ophelia Adams, Evelyn Adams, Darian Beeson, Kodan Kidd, Brighten Kidd, Dalton Carpenter, Karon Kidd and Dominic Kidd.
It was Charlotte’s wishes that her remains be cremated with a Celebration of Life Service to be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 17, 2026 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Mr. Jason Morgan officiating with the burial to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville, Georgia. The family will receive friends 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
