Mrs. Cheryl Ann (Ellison) Broussard

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Cheryl Ann Broussard, age 70, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday June 30, 2026. Mrs. Broussard was born in Abilene, Texas the daughter of the late Louis Alfred Ellison and the late Doris Jean Woosley Ellison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Wayne Broussard. 

Mrs. Broussard worked as an dental assistant with Dr. Rosanna Masciadri. She loved feeding her deer in the back yard, working in her garden and loved to travel. Cheryl was a member of First Baptist Church Jefferson. 

Survivors include two sons, Robert Neil Broussard (Maryjane) of Watkinsville, GA and Scott Allen Broussard (Brandy) of Lawrenceville, GA. Four grandchildren, Elijah and Issac Broussard of Lawrenceville, GA and Logan and Gavin Broussard of Watkinsville, GA. Sister, Sandy Dupree (Bud) of Winfield, LA. Brother, Kyle Ellison of Laplace, LA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday July 11, 2026 from First Baptist Church Jefferson with Reverend Matt Long and Dr. Mark Hearn officiating with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Cheryl will lie-in-state from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. 

Honored as pallbearers will be Elijah Broussard, Isaac Broussard, Logan Broussard, Gavin Broussard, Robert Broussard and Scott Broussard. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
