Mrs. Connie Lynn Payne

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Connie Lynn Payne, age 69, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday May 8, 2024. Mrs. Payne was born in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter to the late Frank Echols and the late Geraldine Hardeman Echols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Edwin Payne.

Mrs. Payne was a homemaker and a member of Free Chapel. She loved listening to old gospel music, shopping and fresh flowers. Most of all she loved her girls, all the grandchildren and her two great grandchildren.

Survivors include her five daughters, Shannon Gensler (Ken), Sherri Fritsch (Tommy), Sandy Edling, Sonia Britt (David) and Shea Britt (Daniel) all of Jefferson, GA. Fourteen grandchildren, Jessica Mayes (Marcus), Hailey Manders, Cory Fritsch, Cassie Fritsch, Shelby Edling, Rielly Edling, Dillan Edling, Shayley Edling, Alyssa Britt, Alayna Britt, KyLeigh Britt, Cody Britt, Summer Gensler and Sullivan Gensler. Two greatgrandchildren, Hayden and Carter Mayes. Sister, Pam Hewatt (Jerry) of Hoschton, GA. Nephew, Shane Hewatt (Jessica) of Hoschton, GA. Great nieces and nephew, Kensleigh, Karlei and Caleb also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 11, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Hewatt officiating. Interment will follow at Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
