Mrs. Deborah "Kay" Jean Kilgore

Mrs. Deborah “Kay” Jean Kilgore, age 72  , of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on-Sunday, October 12, 2025.. Mrs. Kilgore was born in Pensacola Florida  where she met the love of her life. She and her beloved husband Wayne moved to Cumming, Georgia, where she devoted her life to being a loving mom and homemaker. After earning the proud title of Grandma, she moved to Dawsonville, Georgia, to fully embrace that new chapter, spending her days surrounded by the ones she loved most. In her later years, she settled in Chatsworth, Georgia, to be closer to her children and family, continuing to fill every home she lived in with love.  Not only was she an amazing Mom, Grandma and wife she had a special gift for creating beauty in everything she touched. A talented quilter, she lovingly stitched blankets that brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Her green thumb was unmatched — she could grow anything from vibrant flowers to hearty vegetables, filling her garden with life and color. She cherished time spent with her family and her beloved little dog, Boo, who was always by her side.

Mrs. Kilgore was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wayne Kilgore.

Survivors include her children, Kay Wilkerson and her husband John of Winder, Rebecca Harrison and her husband Neil of Chatsworth, Tina Williams and her husband Ryan of Jasper, Jeannie Brown and her husband DeWayne of Fairmount. Grandchildren, Kayla (Storm) Martin of Auburn, Taylor (Kelsey) Chapman of Winder, Jonathan Stecovich of Murphysboro, TN, Craig Williams of Jasper, Carissa Stecovich of Ocala, FL, Cameron Williams of Jasper; great grandchildren, Sutton Chapman and Winnie Kate Chapman also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Ryan McCain officiating. The burial will follow in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Storm Martin, Taylor Chapman, Jonathon Stecovich, Craig Williams, Cameron Williams, Neil Harrison honored as pallbearers. 

The visitation will be held on 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
