Mrs. Delene (Marlow) Shadburn

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Delene Marlow Shadburn, age 71, of Maysville, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Delene was born in Winder, Georgia the daughter of the late Dewitt “Dee” Marlow and the late Frances Parks Marlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Franklin “Frank” Shadburn, brother, Arthur Dixon Marlow and two sisters, Janet Marlow Standridge and Joanne Marlow. 

Delene worked as a beautician was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Methodist Church. She was very active in the Holly Springs community where she loved taking care of her friends. Her most important role in her life was taking care of her family (her boys), friends and her animals. 

Survivors include her sons, Chip Shadburn (Julie) of Homer, GA and Ben Shadburn (Kelli) of Watkinsville, GA. Three grandchildren, Laine Shadburn, Bennett Shadburn and Marlowe Shadburn. Two brothers, Terry Marlow (Judy) of Pendergrass, GA and Dennis Marlow (Debbie) of Pendergrass, GA. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Holly Springs Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Porterfield, Reverend Tom Fish and Reverend Ray Gibbs officiating. Reverend Ned Klugh will officiate the graveside service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honored as pallbearers will be Reid Guined, Wes Guined, Shane Guined, Bill Lokey, Dixon Marlow, Mark Puckett and Scott Sanders. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home.
